Default Extracting images from Illustrator

Job came in today: Frustrator CS2 document with a poorly-cropped embedded image. I'd like to extract it, tart it up in Photoshop, then shove it back into the document, but I can't see how to do it.

I really wish people wouldn't use Frus -- sorry, Illustrator -- as a layout program <sigh>.
