Default Pandora's Box

A friend pointed me at http://www.pandora.com

Fun ... you plug in the name of an artist or song, it streams other music that meet similar criteria ... whatever those may be.

I've had fun plugging in somewhat obscure or no-longer-so-well-known artists to see what it brings back.

The Bobs has been quite a success, as has The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

Leon Redbone produced quite a mixed bag, but that wasn't a big surprise.

The odd one was Ry Cooder; he's done a fair amount of Latin/Chicano inspired stuff in the recent past, but he's also played with Indian and African musicians and has a wide variety of other music out. But Latin's pretty much all I got back from Pandora.

Hmm. I wonder what Taj Mahal will bring me ....
