Default Motion Background in Power Point

I'm seeing many people using video as background in their slide presentations especially at churches. Is it possible to put a video in as a background for slides when I'm using Power Point 2002? If so, How? and how does the video continue it's normal progression even when you change slides? (I'm wondering why it doesn't jump back to the beginning)
