Default Where is the Firefox plist

Firefox on my Mac has slowed to a crawl, especially through the forums here and elsewhere. I've repaired permissions, shut down the Mac and reset the modem and router, and upgraded the app. All to no avail. All the other browsers on the Mac fly through here, so it isn't the site.

But I can't find the plist to delete it. Apple's Help says it should be in Library/Preferences. The Help files on the Mozilla/Firefox site say it should be in the application folder, but I don't have one - only a Firefox.app file.

So where is it, please?
