Default Painting tool from New Zealand

ArtRage 2 from Ambient Design attempts to simulate real-world painting without, according to its developer, “worrying about documents, windows, or menus.”

Its 12 tools include simulators of paintbrush, paint roller, paint tube, pencil, airbrush, glitter, felt pen, palette knife, chalk, crayon, and more. The software allows you to import and export Photoshop files (with layers).

I have no idea if it is really useful, but it looks like a lot of fun. The cost is $20 U.S. for the full-featured version 2 for both Mac OS X and Windows; there is also a free version with less functionality.
