The recent MacAddict CD includes a demo of a cute little application called Typeset. It supplements FontBook by not only allowing you to see fonts -- and choose your own sample text, choose its color, size and background -- but also has a "drawer" that shows all the neat information about the font -- foundry, font type, etc. Pretty cheap shareware -- $12.95.
