Thinking of moving your site from one host to another? Matt Cutts has posted an article on Moving to a new web host.

Its focus is on how to shift hosts without having problems with Google. In a nutshell, you begin by backing your existing site at the new host, change the DNS, then wait until the changes have fully propagated, then shut down the old site.
