OK, folks, here's what may be a treat for the original users at this site, but it's a spectacle the Renegadesof CIS followed along with last year. I'm doing another site redesign.
This is one of my established candidate sites, www.adamebbin.com , and I've never really been happy with it. It's an OK site and should be valid (haven't tested lately; the candidate is running for re-election unopposed so it hasn't been very busy. We're about to ramp up, though. My iinitial test page is up. So far, all I've done is move the navigation to the top and rework the CSS. Adam has a volunteer that does graphics who's going to make a more visually interesting header banner. So, as I did last year with agla.org I'll post updates so folk can follow along. I don't think I'm going to go as extreme as I did with the AGLA site (XHTML Strict and nearly tableless layout) but I will at least be going from HTML 4.1 to XHTML 1.0. If the freebie client doesn't drive me nuts first, at least. ;> He thought about spending an extra $16/mo. to use a third party e-mail listserv because he didn't know I could send HTML e-mail for him. <sigh> (Yes, I send as ASCII also and have had no complaints; Thunderbird is pretty good for HTML e-mail, automatically also sending ASCII, but too bad the HTML editor isn't as good as Dreamweaver...) More later... |
