Default indesign text justification

hi guys,

I've used "justify with last line aligned left" in the past on cs2 and it worked like a dream, but i've just tried it with cs3 and it doesn't seem to work at all (vista x64). anyone else have this problem? I'm hoping its a setting somewhere. anyone got any ideas?

"justify all lines" works as expected

I've even done the old trick of pasting the formated text into a txt file and then paste that into indesign.
