Of course. But one's own usage is as good an indicator as any as to how the interface could be used.

Yes, I've minimized everything I can and turned off avatars and signatures. That helps a bit but, for best reading comfort, I'd like to lose pretty much everything above the thread pane thingy. That way the thread pane and first message fit nicely on my laptop screen without scrolling. Actually, I can probably achieve that with a bit of user CSS in Opera but the rest of the page consists of multiple tables which sadly are almost impossible to CSSify.
