Mac issue: Scanner obsolete overnight!
All of a sudden my scanner (Epson 1640SU) refuses to work. I checked the power, connections, all that, to no avail. Decided to get an updated driver, and did, but there was a note at the download site that said the driver can not be used with Photoshop CS3 unless I run Photoshop in Rosetta mode.
I am not going to run Photoshop in Rosetta mode. I would rather buy a new scanner. Edit: Actually, now I think the scanner may be dead. It is connected properly, has power, its little green light is on. But I downloaded a demo copy of Vuescan and it reports that no scanner is connected. Maybe it is another victim of my computer failure a couple of weeks ago. Drat. Edit again: It appears that my USB hub is dead. Guess I will ask Jack to check it out. __________________ :: [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Last edited by ktinkel; 08-22-2008 at 07:29 AM. |
