Not sure when exactly, but the Qualcomm-sanctioned open source version of Eudora has been released by the Mozilla group. The download page is here (it is otherwise difficult to find — or was for me, anyway).
Mac and Windows versions look visually identical. The windows and menus seems familiar to this long-time Eudora user. I tried two or three Eudora replacements a year or two ago, and didn’t like any of them.
