Default Acrobat 4 + Reader 7?

I use Acrobat 4 for DTP work, but I would like to have a later version of the Reader (7) installed to read files that I come across online in later formats.

Would there be a conflict (aside from which is the default application, I can deal with that); or any tricks to keep them both happy?

On WinXP. And no, unless you're offering a free copy, I can't upgrade to a later version of Acrobat.
