Other nifty InDesign scripts...
I passed on the link to the forum along with links to Dave Saunders nifty ID scripts to a friend of mine (who promises to come visit soon) and she told me about a nifty script she found:
>>I did find a very cool InDesign script ("Place Images") a couple of months ago that replaces the text of image file names with the actual images. So for things like the photo classifieds, which gets output as two fields, one the image name, the other the classified text, I just run the script and it drops in the photos instead of me having to place each one manually (magic!!). But the best application of it is for filling in the issue itself. I block it all out, with boxes for each element, and put the filename of the PDF file of the element in the box as text. Then run the script, and except for multi-page PDFs (editorial content) it fills in the entire issue. Prior to that I was placing each element manually (200+). I downloaded it from here: http://share.studio.adobe.com/axBrowseSubmit.asp?t=54 << Terrie |
