Forum Tools
Just noticed a new 'Gotcha' on the Forum software - under the Forum Tools header, I cannot automatically mark a Forum section 'read' whereas I could before.

I have it here - can you be a bit more specific? Is the option not appearing for you under Forum Tools? Or is the option there but not working for you?

Hi Franca
Sorry - not being specific. The option is there, it's just that clicking it (when there are some unread threads) do not mark those threads as read. __________________ DTP Guy a.k.a Brian Smithson |

But it's annoying that the display is not refreshed while in the forum itself. __________________ Marjolein Katsma Look through my eyes on Cultural Surfaces (soon!), My ArtFlakes shop and Flickr. Ah, yes. Within the forum, the display is not refreshed until you leave and come back in. A bit annoying because it leaves you wondering if anything happened at all. I don't have to refresh the main index, though - as soon as I leave the forum, the main index is display is correct. And when I go back into the forum the display is correct there as well.

Yes. We are due for a dot upgrade, but didn’t think it wise to do everything all at once.

Oh, and you can scratch that little JavaScript theory - Hugh's remark was indeed an (unintentional) red herring. __________________ Marjolein Katsma Look through my eyes on Cultural Surfaces (soon!), My ArtFlakes shop and Flickr. Probably CTRL + F5 which forces a download refresh would work without quitting?
I don't use Mark as Read here so I don't know. __________________ Hugh |
