Default Very strange InDesign behaviour

I normally work in InDesign (Mac G4 running Tiger, InDesign version CS) with the pages in a single column, but for a recent job, just before output to PDF, I changed to Facing Pages so that I could output a spread.

The printer's prepress people noticed that on one page, the text wasn't running around the illustrations. Only on one page. The following page had the text running around normally.

When I checked in InDesign, the text wrap palette showed the correct settings, but the text wasn't wrapping.

Changing back to single, not facing, pages fixed the problem and I was able to output the PDF again, correctly this time.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before?
