I don't have InDesign, but it seems strange to me that there is not a language setting. In MS Word, if I'm typing in English, I set the language to English. If I'm typing in Spanish, I set the language to Spanish. Spell correction comes in automatically with each language. Except, I never have to set anything, as the software resets everything automatically, detecting the language used. But I could do it manually, and have at times, if I'm involved with a number of languages, which circumstance makes the software confused.

(Although actually I don't publish anything in Spanish, but sometimes I'll just write something up in that language. Other programs I have used worked the same way.)
