Default Fake Firefox security update

From within Firefox a message appeared that asked if I wanted to install a Firefox security update. I was almost tempted but I decided to do the wise thing and refuse. But before I could Firefox popped up a message that it had just prevented a site from installing software on my computer. And maybe that really was Firefox.

I don't know for sure but it sure looks like an attempt to attack my computer.
