Default Display computer media on TV

I can't think of a slick way to define this, so I'll just say I can play a movie on my computer and have it display on my TV. It's called "casting" and I'm too lazy to look up the origin of this term. But for a long time I was searching on the Internet about ways to do this and now it was just dumb luck that it fell into my lap.

I was test-driving CyberLink PowerDVD and there is was. It said I can cast to my Roku device over my WiFi. It even automated adding the channel to my Roku list of channels. And then when I told it to, it cast a movie from my computer to my TV via the Roku.

Note: Doing this with CyberLink PowerDVD is only possible with their Ultra and Live versions, as their online comparison shows.

I know of it, but have never done it as I don't do any streaming and don't have a roku (or any of the other streaming devices). I have considered getting a roku but have never gotten around to it...

Glad you were able to stumble across the process and are getting it working...'-}}
