Default Adobe CS discount

I just bought CS4 design premium upgrade, and found a $100 discount offer at the bottom of the Amazon page I was viewing (you could probably get there faster just by going to the Adobe store).

I could have bought the upgrade through from Amazon via a Macintouch link for $589 ($10 off Adobe’s list). Instead I got it for $100 off the Adobe price, or $499, plus shipping and sales tax (which Amazon does not charge). Still, I will save $54.

Expires 8/31, and is available for U.S. only (or maybe for North America).

I am doing this because I want to move to Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) shortly, and it breaks Photoshop CS3, and Adobe appears to have no plans to fix that (according to David Pogue’s column today: Apple’s Sleek Upgrade).

Or maybe because my life has become boring and I want to have an adventure. Or am going nuts.
