Default Laptop shopping once again

I can't believe I've had my Sony for four years. I'm still exhausted from the last time I shopped. But my Sony took me 5 attempts to start today, and with that kind of motivation, I don't think it will take me forever to decide. Also, looking only at Win7 computers really narrows the field.

So far I've looked at Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Toshiba, and Gateway laptops with Win 95. Yup, that many companies offer it. Maybe more. Suggest a name and I'll look.

The Tecra and Thinkpad are looking good. Not much talk in this forum about Tecra. But the review looks good.
