Default CMS for designers, artists

I stumbled across the marketing site for Expanse, slugged “the easiest way for artists and designers to manage their website.”

It uses templates, stylesheets, and has a built-in text editor, etc., much like WordPress, but its goal is to exhibit an artist’s portfolio rather than time-stamped text. You can assign multiple key words to images and collections, it will take a zip file of many images, unzip them on the server, create thumbnails, etc., all more or less without your effort. And PayPal sales system is built in if you sell from your portfolio site.

Have to confess I have not tested this thing, though I intend to. But it sounds ideal for anyone with items best shown as images. Costs $30 per domain.

Hope someone checks this out and lets us know if it works as sweetly as it sounds as if it will.
