I've used their development candidates since long before 1.4.8 was one of those and never had any issues whatsoever. But you have to do what you are comfortable with!
Paragraph breaks are indeed recognized. In 1.5.7 you have an option of choosing justified or force justified text. Although it sounds like your text is force justified I can't remember if both options were available in 1.4.8. If they were the best place to find those setting would be in the style manager (in the dropdown menu under Edit in the main toolbar). 1.5.7 does import .docx files. How well that works I don't know as it isn't something I have ever done. |
