Default New font question

Or, more properly, "typeface" question.

I've volunteered to do interior layout for a friend's WIP sci-fi novel. He has previously mostly sold his work as Kindle e-books through Amazon. With the new book he's working on, he's looking to up his game a bit and do a decent print version along with the Kindle edition.

It's a space war novel, set in Earth's somewhat near future, so I'm looking for something that evokes feelings of space and future. All I can think of to satisfy those dual criteria would be fonts that might loosely be classified as "computer" -- such as

or

Not sure if that's quite right, though. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
