Default Fetch 5.6 ftp released (Mac)

Fletch Softworks’ eponymous FTP client for the Mac has been released. It comes with a slew of updated features and bug fixes (listed on the download site).

The update is free for users who paid for version 5.5, or $10 for other users. New Fetch purchases are $29.

I have been using Fetch since version 3; it is reliable, secure, and easy to use.

Now there's a familiar name. I remember using it back 15 or so years ago.

When I started moving my work from Windows to Mac last year, someone introduced me to Transmit, and I've found it solid and easy to use. (Had been using WS_FTP on the Windows side.)

It’s still going strong. I tried one or two others (I think Fetch didn’t support secure FTP at one point when I needed it, but it does so now). It suits me. So far.

I always use Cyberduck. It might not be as good as Fetch (I don't know) but I like its icon sitting on my desktop.

I’m not familiar with it, and my duck icons are represented by Adium (er, I think that’s a duck; I made mine purple).

How does it compare with Fetch, and why did you switch? I'm still a Fetch user, although I also have Yummy FTP.
