Default Firefox jpeg display

My Firefox browser just started doing something I do not like and I am trying to figure out if it is something I did by accident or if the recent upgrade to v11 caused it. When I view an image either by right clicking and picking "View Image" or clicking on a link to an image it now displays centered with a black background. They used to display in the upper left corner of the window with a white background. Centering is all right but I dislike the black background. Any thoughts?

I tried to find any information on this on the Firefox support site but have not been successful.

Firefox 11, MacOSX 10.6.8

Thanks.

Just updated and I must say I prefer it. Both the image in the centre and the dark grey background. Hopefully there will be some way of changing the background colour if you don't like it.

Since updating to 11.0 I get the same. I had thought that changing

browser.display.focus_background_color; to #FFFFFF

might change the background colour but it appears to have no effect. (Since it's set to green I should have realised I was barking up the wrong tree!!)

I cannot see anything else in about:config which would appear to give user control to the background colour of viewed images but I am not an expert on configuring Firefox.

Sky--

Firefox/Preferences/Content/Fonts & Colors (Colors... button)/deselect "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above". Then set the background to whatever color you want.

The problem with this is that it affects ALL pages not just image display pages.

I have installed the add-on, Old Default Image Style, and am happy again.
