Default Prospective Client Website

I have a neighborhood pet store which might be a client. I would like some comments on their site, which right now is only one page. The graphics are bright, but I am sceptical about the code. What is the developer up to, with all those scripts?

http://www.inthedoghouseinc.com/

is the URL. I suspect that all those scripts are bad for search engine bots.

(Yes, they need a DOCTYPE statement!)

If you trace back the code, there's a link at the top that goes to a German web design company (cm4all.com) that provides templates for folks, and the code it uses does all the navigation on a site through a series of scripts.

David, this is an example of a simple templated page, the sort of "make your own site" thing offered free these days by web hosting companies where you just add your images and content. The search engine bots will ignore the code, but have not got much in the way of text to bite on!

Default No developer there!

My summary is that there is no developer behind this site, just someone plugging information into templates. I do know that the store owners are doing the graphics, though.
