There are, as you know, three resampling methods in Photoshop. All do some guessing when adding pixels, and they don't always (in fact, nearly never) guess the way we would. So you get degradation. Downsizing throws out pixels, and the sampling method doesn't always make the right decisions there, either, but it's not as obvious as it is in upsizing. I'm not saying I've never done upsizing, but it's a last, desperate resort. __________________ ![]() |
