Thanks Ann --

I've drafted it and it will include a link to this thread here but I can't post a link to where it will be in CIS since the Staff Forum is private. I'll ask sysops to copy to their own forums if they know she was known there.

I'm sure I can work out something about adding replies to this thread with their OK.

Yes, in a way. I had a studio in NY in the early 80s, but moved out of that into typesetting and DTP. They introduced me to digital. That was my re-birth.

I'm sure you'll remember to include the attribution to DTP.

Thanks for sharing your memories, Laura. I'm so pleased we were able to contact you and James to let you know.

Already in the text I want just to finish off -- the your name as the source but also as someone who knew her on Compuserve, the name of the Forum and an active link to this thread.

Of course, Hugh does most everything right.

KT will be missed. She was a major reason I found this a place of real people.

Thanks for coming in and responding, Sandy. We appreciate seeing all these memoirs of KT.

Someone with such grit and determination, a quiet sense of humour, and a stalwart of this and its preceding forums, will be very hard to replace and greatly missed.

Wherever you are KT, I hope you are having fun...

Ann,

Here's a message I received by Private Mail on Compuserve which I'm glad to pass on here:

Quote:
Hugh, I learned quite a bit from Kathleen, just from reading her posts, both on CIS and elsewhere. The world is very much poorer for her passing. Please convey my condolences to her husband, and others who loved her. She will be missed. I post this as a private message, and you have my permission to copy it, should you choose. -- Marilyn Alm
