Default Penelope/Eudora 8.0.0b2 released

A new beta version of the Mozilla (Penelope) version of Eudora has been released for Windows and the Mac.

There is a ReadMe for version 8 that has this paragraph:
Whereas “Eudora” is a branded version of Thunderbird with some extra features added by the Eudora developers, “Penelope” is an extension (also called an “add-on”) that is used in Eudora and can also be used with Thunderbird.
I’m still not clear about what does what here; if anyone tries it, do let me know. For now I am clinging to my good old Eudora!
