Default Fluid Mask cutout tool

Fluid Mask is a new cutout plugin from Vertus. The Mac version is out, and the PC version is on the way. I have a PC, so there is no way for me to test it now. But I took a look at the tutorial movies to get a feel of what it can do. It appears to be much more powerful and flexible than Photoshop's Extract tool. Of course, the PS extract tool is not exactly the acme of extraction power, and looking at tutorial movies is not the best way to judge. I'd have to put it head to head with Corel KnockOut to really decide. But I'm not sure I will ever do that. So consider this a heads-up about a new plugin that you might want to test, if you spend a lot of time doing extractions.

The introductory price is $399, with free upgrades for 6 months. The full price is $499. Compare to Corel KnockOut for $99. But many people find KnockOut very tedious to us. So as with all other tools, it comes down to whether the time/money/aggravation saved is worth the cost.
