My primary email is with Compuserve. If I were starting over, I would not do that because the method of getting support is very odd.. But I also have a secondary email that I created myself. I registered my own domain at namecheap and established a tiny account at asmallorange. Total cost is $45 per year. With this I control my own email accounts, and can add and remove them at will. I use this only for email. There is no website, even though I could set one up if I wanted to.
