Looking at it, I suppose one could make a sort of Rube Goldberg-esque stand. You’d have to choose cameras wisely and then test the focusing and all.

The angled stand is to avoid breaking the spine of valuable books; seems as if the closer to wide open, the easier to get undistorted scans.

Anyway, let us know what you do.
