I was talking about laptops which often means nVidia or ATI. I believe ATI works better than nVidia as far as Linux in concerned. nVidia have in fact provided us with Linux drivers although (judging from what I have read on various forums) there seems to be problems getting things to work properly.

Althogh the laptop works with the VESA driver I want to make use of the graphics card and its software.
