Tiger Direct does seem more reliable since they bought COMPUSA and had stores rather than just mail order where there customer support had a bad reputation.

It's a long time since I've seen any reports on them, good or bad, but I did begin to see reports of good customer support from them.

When building my present desktop I bought the case, motherboard and CPU from them rather than Newegg that I've normally used. The case partly because of no shipping costs and because I could look inside the case and see how it was laid out and see build quality, both of which were good on the CoolerMaster I bought; with the CPU and motherboard they were about the same or slightly cheaper than Newegg with sales tax offsetting shipping.
