Default Image Sprites

The next version of MyBB will use image sprites. So now I have to learn about those. Never used them before. But it appeals to me much more than laying out a sheet of icons in Photoshop, creating a layer for every icon name, and then have Photoshop slice it into multiple images, save them, and rename most of them incorrectly. Although, maybe the latest Photoshop doesn't have this problem. But there is something appealing to me about having the CSS "slice" out the button for me.

If you don't know about image sprites: http://css-tricks.com/css-sprites/

We use sprites in VirtueMart for icons & buttons. Once you get the hang of coding the css for them they really are easy to use, and just by substituting an alternate "master" image you can change the appearance of all icons on a page.
