WiFi or radio in general?

Bluetooth is a form of radio, but I think it transmits digitally as opposed to analog-ally (how's that for a stretch?). Kind of like the difference between transmitting morse code vs voice. The former's a lot more reliable over distance and through interference than the latter.

And Bluetooth allows (requires, even?) pairing; the transmitter and receiver either "introduce" themselves or come from the factory pre-hooked-up (as would be the case with mice). Once they recognize one another, they pay no attention to signals not intended for them. As though we're at a crowded party and you yell "Hey, Terrie". I'm going to ignore you. ;-)

Some of the earlier wireless mice were pre-Bluetooth, so may not have had this advantage. Any random signal in the right frequency range may've made them prick up their ears and come running. Under the wheels of the truck with the supersized CB amplifier.

FWIW, I've had no trouble at all with the ones I've got and even found that they make halfway decent remote controls for PowerPoint presentations. I could reliably control a presentation from anywhere in a fairly large classroom. Which rather startled my wife when she thought SHE was in control there behind the lectern. ;-)
