Default Internet Outage

I just read this:

Quote:
At approximately 00:05 ET on 2/25/2014, Level3 Communications, a Tier 1 Internet carrier which provides service across the continental United States and around the globe, experienced a major routing issue affecting its connectivity to adjoining Internet Service Providers (peers). This resulted in disruptions and outages to Internet services across the continental USA to any providers that route traffic predominately over Level3.
Also

Quote:
The general health and status of major Internet carriers can be viewed at the following URL:http://internetpulse.net/. During the time of the Level3 outage, Internet Health Report reported critical latency issues (greater than 180ms latency) and packet loss as high as 50% from almost all providers peering with Level3.
This is what my web host said when I asked why three of my sites that are on different servers are having problems.
