Ditto. I've been using a MS wireless mouse (not Bluetooth; model 1007) on my Macs and a VAIO for ages (more than a decade, for sure) and it's really easy on batteries. In fact, I save old AA batteries that are too weak to run my other gadgets (GPS, TV remotes, etc.) and use them in the mouse for weeks or months more, until they're utterly dead.
