Default KVM Switch

I have not removed the KVM switch from the mouse, instead I have been using a wired USB mouse, which works fine on both computers, but I would like to get the wireless mouse working. I had some Comcast internet problems, so I switched their supplied modem with another one from them, and after an hour of struggle, mostly on long phone wait times, I apparently have that working. Only time will tell whether this one is better than the old one.

I see the idea of a USB extension cable to put the mouse transmitter on top of the desk instead of under it where the KVM switch is located on this thread.

Now I am trying to get rid of MYWEBSEARCH from my IE browser. (Separate thread for that.

One thought ... if the mouse disappears, try turning it off, then on again.

Couple of ideas:
1) Does the mouse work if you plug its transmitter directly into the computer?
2) If it's a Toshiba PC, send it back (I had a similar problem, and it was the PC)
