kelvyn: Secure SMTP (SSL / TLS) – port 465 or 25 or 587, 2526 (Elastic Email)
Thanks for that...I'd never seen 465. My broadband provider suggested 587 quite awhile ago--rather than 25 which I think was what I used to use and thought was not considered secure but as Jim Eaves used to say wtfdik...'-}}--and I do think I used 110 at some point also...

Given that he's not using (I think) a secure SMTP (SSL/TLS)--note the "Security and Authentication" settings in his screen shot--I think 587 might be what he needs to use and maybe he's getting the error message because he's got the port set to 465 and it's expecting some sort of security and authentication protocol that he's not supplying?
