kayza: CutePDF makes it really easy to avoid the adware garbage, but you do have to pay attention and not just check "yes" to everything.
I don't remember CutePDF having adware when I installed it on another system a few years ago but maybe I'm just not remembering things correctly. At any rate, I'd rather not support adware embedding from anyone. Additionally, CutePDF is rather limited (or at least it used to be) in terms of things like setting dpi/ppi and other job options.
