I've got a few friends who're not only tablet enthusiasts but also rational people. They're the first to point out that tablets are wonderful for consuming content, lousy for creating it. For watching movies, browsing the web, reading stuff, and using apps that are designed for them, they're lovely. For writing the Great American Novel ... unless it's a first-person account of extreme masochism ... no. Nonstarter.
