Default Any Usenet Experts Here?

I'd like to post a message in alt.test, then find a way to see all the information contained in that message about where it came from. For example, will my IP address and other specifics be added. And to check for this, I need to know what software I can use to show me all headers, or whatever it is I'm supposed to look for.
