Interesting to see how this Adobe thing is going. I looked at a list of Photoshop 6 new features. I really don't need any of them. So with their new pricing scheme, it's not simply a matter of being forced to upgrade with every release (to maintain upgrade pricing). It is also losing the discount unless I buy a useless upgrade. So to compensate for losing my upgrade discount, I'll have to skip about 5 upgrades.

Yeah, and in a few years there will be no purchasing of a license as we now know it. You will only be able to get Adobe software through monthly fees.
