I'd opt for an i7. Note that the i5 and i7 chips for mobile use are not the same as the desktop chips. Very confusing on Intel's part. For DTP, I'd get the faster cpu. RAM? I have 8 gb on my desktop. Don't think I have ever seen more than 4 in use. However, Win 7 is good about using the rest as disk cache.

I'd also look for a 7200 rpm drive. Makes no sense to me to put 5400 rpm in a performance computer. I'd also go with 750 gb.

If your eyes can handle it, go for a higher rez display. I think Lenovo offers 1440x900. The extra pixels in height help with web pages.

A dock really simplifies the process of grabbing the laptop and leaving. And returning.

I'd get the camera. It saves very little money and the internal one can't be added later.
