Default Flying greenhouse

As you may already know, we have had some very blustery weather in the UK for a few days now.

Although some serious consequences have occurred, with with loss of life and property damage, what happened in my back garden was more of a surreal experience.

The Boss and I were both in the kitchen preparing breakfast when Clef suddenly shouts "My greenhouse!" and I turn around to look out the window to see what the excitement was all about.

There it was, hovering in mid air and floating away towards the hedge and heading for the next door neighbour's garden!

I should clarify that this is the light weight plastic one that we put up while the "proper" one was being built (the one I didn't get quite finished before the cold weather set in, something I am likely to hear a lot about now, I know I should have got it done, but there were so many other things that had to be dealt with and so little time).

I rushed out and grabbed hold of a corner of it to stop its attempt to escape and it nearly took me with it. In the end we both managed to hold it down and dismantle the frame so we could peel off the cover and roll it up.

It is now safely put away in the shed until the wind dies down and it is safe to put it back up.

A hot cup of coffee tasted really good after that little episode.

If you find yourself surrounded by small people, a warning: watch out for the green woman. She's *most* unpleasant.

Photograph or it isn't true!

The scenery planted in my head is indeed surreal (pleasantly so).

We have sort of the same weather here, BTW. Two days ago a whole (large) shed was blown away. And there was no market today - too dangerous!

For health and safety reason there were no pictures taken during this incident.

If I had gone to fetch the camera there would have been nothing to actually take pictures of.

Without me actually rescuing the greenhouse the Boss would have been very unhappy.

Take your pick.

LOL!! I have the most wonderful image in my mind's eye...'-}}

Glad it didn't take you on a flying journey--sort of like that movie ("Up") about the old man who attaches balloons to his house which takes off into the air...'-}}

I hope you didn't store it in your flying aluminum shed.

The picture I'm seeing is really something! I can see you just barely hanging on while trying to keep from becoming airborne yourself!
