Default Eudora OSE released

Not sure when exactly, but the Qualcomm-sanctioned open source version of Eudora has been released by the Mozilla group. The download page is here (it is otherwise difficult to find — or was for me, anyway).

Mac and Windows versions look visually identical. The windows and menus seems familiar to this long-time Eudora user.

I tried two or three Eudora replacements a year or two ago, and didn’t like any of them. But guess I will give this a try.

They explicitly say not to do that.

I looked for that but didn't see any reference. Where did you see that?

There is a ref to installing the entire app rather than trying to run it as an extension on top of Thunderbird (I would never had considered doing that) but nothing I can find with reference to doing an overlay install over an existing version of Eudora--the more I think about that, the dumber it sounds so I probably won't do that...'-}}
