Can you get any sense of how it differs from vB, if it does?

It's in alpha now and only has basic features. But it's look and feel is slicker than most.

Does it support threading? Have — what a longshot! — messages attached to sender, ala old CIS?

From one of the developers regarding threading:

Quote:
I highly doubt we'll see this feature. It potentially compromises other features (like QR) and adds a significant amount of complexity to other interactions (eg, merge and split).

Interesting to see, though. I doubt that any new board attracted this much attention before. This will certainly help. And I have to give them credit for how they styled the board. It looks "next generation." Very clean and original look, while still following familiar conventions.

fwiw, xenforo can alert members when someone quotes their posts. In the world of multi-quotes and members who use linear mode, this might be a way to do read waiting.
