If you wait until August 27th, you can get one of the newer, cooler Kindles for the same price as the discounted current ones.

Choices are "WiFi only" for $139, or "3G plus WiFi" for $189, which is the same cost of the current Kindle. The latter would cover all the bases in terms of connectivity and be my choice if I were getting a new one. Several features of the new Kindle have me drooling a bit and wishing that I'd had a September birthday instead of a July one. Oh well, LOL! I am nevertheless very pleased with the Kindle I've got.
